1. SUMMARY

The BALANCE function calls up the balance of a single asset in a given address.

2. DISAMBIGUATION

  • BALANCE is not used to view the balance of multiple assets in a single address. (see PORTFOLIO)
  • BALANCE is not used to view the balance of a single asset across multiple addresses. (see PORTFOLIO)
  • BALANCE is a read-only command that cannot be used to move assets between addresses. (see MOVE)

3. SYNTAX

BALANCE
    .GET (asset: asset, label: label)

4. USAGE

BALANCE (or its mnemonic BAL) is most commonly used without subfunctions to view the balance of a specific asset in a specific labelled address.

BALANCE(ETH,EXAMPLE)

This will display the current balance of Ethereum in the address labelled 'Example.'
